Three things stand out in this soup: mushroom, sirloin burger chunks, and potatoes. Swiss cheese seems to be missing in action. This is a non-issue for me since I didn’t buy it for any level of cheesiness. And the soup tastes fine without a cheesy taste or consistency.

I wasn’t expecting a thick, creamy soup. But when I opened the can (see pic), the top was pretty creamy. From what I can tell, this is a case of cream rising to the top because the soup at the bottom of the can was watery.

This probably won’t be an issue for you unless you’re like me and eat it straight out of the can. I imagine most people will dump the soup into a bowl, heat it, and stir it before eating it. But for people like me, I suggest you stir the contents of the can before eating it if you want the soup to be uniformly creamy.

This is basically a cream of mushroom soup with mushroom, burger, and potato chunks thrown in. The size of the various chunks were perfect. I really liked the mushroom flavor. The burger bits were ok. The potatoes were ok.

Bottom line: It’s good. If you want mushroom burger taste but don’t want to be weighed down by an actual burger, go get some. I give it 7 out of 10.
